March 26th, 2009 to April 28th, 2011: Left, Right & Centre have entertained us almost every Thursday for over two years. Alas all good things come to an end and the lads have moved on.

From all of us, thanks and best wishes for the future.

Calling all Reviewers…

We would like to get a LRC selection from the tracks uploaded here. If you would like to contribute, it is as simple as listening to some tracks (download them to your mp3 player, mobile phone or – yuk – iPhone).

When you hear something exceptional, worthy or otherwise significant, come back here and put a comment up on the page where you got the track from.

All the tracks are tagged with the date that they were recorded on, so you should be able to find the correct date easily enough.

These are all amateur recordings from the live sessions at Frank Ryans bar. They are published here with the kind permission of the artists – please respect their copyright.

The only processing done is to chop up the recording into individual tracks, add a fade in/out and normalise the sound level. What you hear is what you’ll get every live every Thursday – warts, drunken punters ‘n’ all!

You are free to download them, add them to your music collection and generally spread them around (copy, burn, torrent, whatever). They are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. Basically you can do whatever you want with these recordings as long as you credit “FrankRyans.com” and the artists and do not charge for them. If you want them for any other use, just ask.

Welcome

Ryans is your cosy local pub in the centre of Dublin.

You'll find us on Queen Street in Smithfield, just around the corner from the Irish Whiskey Corner and near the Guinness Storehouse.

You'll also find us at the end of Coke Lane at the bottom of Smithfield Square (just a civilised distance from Temple Bar).

We don’t believe in the noisy crass bars full of stag and hen parties and rubbish DJ’s – we believe in giving a friendly welcome in a warm bar and serving you the best pint of Guinness in Dublin (according to our locals) and bar snacks.
Ryans is full of music memorabilia and music is in our hearts. We regularly have live blues and rock, and the odd traditional session as well.

We're open from 4pm daily, 6 on Sundays (and earlier by request).
So, pop in, have a pint, a chat, a read of the paper, a game of pool or watch the big match on TV. One thing we do guarantee – you’ll be back!
